Hi everyone, it’s Roslyn, the Codependency Recovery Coach. I often get asked, ‘What do you do, Ross? How does this coaching thing work? How do you help people overcome their codependency, maintain their recovery, and enjoy their lives more?’ So, I thought I’d come on and provide you with a framework for my approach.
It’s important to note that my coaching is tailored to each individual because everyone is on their unique journey. I offer the environment, support, strategies, and tools for sustainable recovery. I’ve been working in codependency recovery for over 30 years, and my motivation stems from a time when I desperately needed support, but couldn’t find what I was looking for.
So, how do I work? I conduct a weekly Zoom session lasting approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. During these sessions, we follow a curriculum that brings out what the person needs to work on for their highest good. These sessions are primarily about the individual, not about me or what I know. Sometimes, in the initial sessions, people may just need to share their emotions or concerns, and that’s okay. I’m here to support them on their terms.
After the Zoom session, I assign homework based on what we’ve covered. Clients are encouraged to email me their completed homework within 24 to 48 hours before our next session. I review their work, and it often helps them go deeper into their issues. I provide detailed feedback during our next session, which is akin to another coaching session.
In addition, I offer something a bit different: my clients can text me anytime during the week. If they’re facing a crisis or need guidance in handling triggers, they can reach out. I’ll respond as soon as I can, providing the support they need. This approach goes beyond a once-a-week appointment; it’s about being there for them throughout the week.
My passion for this work is fueled by the understanding of how fatal codependency can be. It nearly took my life, and I’m determined to help others avoid that path. If you have questions or want to learn more, I offer a free 20-minute chat. You can also consider a one-month trial to see if this approach is right for you.
I want my clients to feel they are receiving value for their time, money, and commitment. And, I’m committed to providing that value. Please don’t hesitate to message me, give me a call (my phone number is on my website), or send an email via my website, rosinSaunders.com.au. Thank you.
