Good morning, everyone. I’m Ross, your codependency recovery coach and specialist. Today, I’d like to discuss my daily routine. People often ask me, “Ross, what do you do on a daily basis to maintain your recovery?” I’ve been in codependency recovery for over 30 years, and I’m all about maintaining it. I want to be the best version of myself to enjoy life fully, without the need for constant validation or external dependencies. Here’s a breakdown of my daily rituals:
- Morning Coffee: I start my day with a cup of coffee. I get a special blend from America with added benefits, like cherries. I love savoring each sip.
- Rebounding: I spend 10 to 12 minutes on my rebounder (a mini-trampoline). It’s excellent for my lymphatic system, exercises every muscle, and cleans out every cell in my body.
- Breath Work: I dedicate 10 to 12 minutes to breath work, often following Dr. Joe Dispenza’s guidance, as I’m a fan of his work.
- Infrared Light: I use an infrared light for about 10 minutes. It has benefits for collagen and sleep, and I enjoy it while lying down.
- Cold Shower: During my shower, I switch to cold water for the last two minutes. It’s invigorating and helps kickstart my day.
- Hydration: I aim to drink two liters of water daily. I track this by setting aside water, either in the fridge or at room temperature, to ensure I meet my hydration goals.
- Nutrition: I focus on consuming five servings of vegetables (around 375 grams) and at least two servings of fruits daily. I’ve even bought a small scale to weigh my veggies to monitor my fiber intake.
- Supplements: I take stem cell supplements, which I’ve been doing for over four years. They’ve been instrumental in managing my emotions and boosting my energy levels.
- Research: I stay updated with the latest information and research in the field to continually improve and be better for myself and my clients.
Maintaining my emotional sobriety is paramount for me, and these daily rituals help me stay on track. Whether it’s a regular day or when I’m on holidays, I strive to stick to these routines as they contribute to my overall well-being. They set the stage for a more enjoyable and fulfilling life.
