Hi everyone, Roslyn Saunders, Recovery and Codependency Coach. Today I’d like to share a little tip that I’ve started implementing into my life. I thought it might be helpful for some of you out there. It may not suit everybody, but yesterday, for example, I ordered a 3-day juice and salad cleanse – organic food that includes juices, smoothies, soup, and delicious salads.

Initially, we might feel a bit guilty or think, “I shouldn’t order in meals; it’s a lot of money.” What I want to point out, based on my own experience, is the amount of money we waste on food outside, not to mention throwing out food. In a recent discussion with a client, we talked about valuing everything, including the money spent on food – it’s energy, and we don’t want to waste it.

She shared that she probably throws out $1100 worth of food, including fruits and veggies that have gone off, each week. So, we’re looking at these aspects because, as we know, what we appreciate appreciates.

We all know the feeling of going into the supermarket for a loaf of bread or a bottle of milk and coming out $50 lighter, especially if we go in hungry. It’s easy to buy the wrong things and spend money on items that may not contribute to our well-being. Therefore, it’s crucial to consider these points.

I’ll keep you updated on how this goes for me. I’ve done it before, but this time I’m thinking of implementing it regularly – not necessarily once a week. My point here is that I don’t think it’s as expensive as we perceive it to be, and we get good nutrients from it.

Personally, I’m not much of a cook, and I don’t love cooking. People who prepare these meals often offer brilliant tastes, making the experience enjoyable. So, I thought this little tip might help make my life more manageable, take care of my body, and avoid wasting money. Thanks for listening, and I hope this tip proves helpful.
