Hello, this is Roslyn, your codependency recovery specialist. Today, it’s Saturday, the 7th of October, and I find myself at NSA, which is approximately an hour and a half away from Brisbane, where I reside. The purpose of my visit today is to engage in a combination of activities: breathwork, an ice bath, and SAA (Sex Addicts Anonymous) meetings. This program is often referred to as “Fire and Ice,” and it plays a crucial role in my ongoing self-care routine.
Allow me to introduce you to the beautiful retreat we are currently at, and you can see some of the fellow participants joining me on this journey. One of the highlights of our day is the ice bath, which is currently being prepared by Rich, our gracious host. Rich, could you say hello?
Rich: Hello.
As you can see, we have a group of eager participants here, all engaged in this transformative experience. Such activities are integral to my self-care regimen, and I often encourage my clients to seek out similar opportunities in their local areas. Participating in breathwork and ice bath sessions not only supports physical well-being but also offers a chance to connect with like-minded individuals.
Now, it’s widely recognised how beneficial breathwork and ice baths can be for the autonomic nervous system. Additionally, we have a unique feature here, a dream pod, resembling a float tank, providing another avenue for relaxation and self-discovery.
Following our activities, we will be having lunch at this lovely retreat. I often suggest to my clients that they explore similar self-care options in their own communities. It’s not only about healing but also about embracing a lifestyle that promotes well-being. Recovery from codependency is an ongoing journey, and I firmly believe in practicing what I preach. This is how I maintain my own well-being to the best of my ability.
Thank you for joining me on this journey today.
